The Wisconsin Wildlife Federation (WWF) has appointed Cody Kamrowski, a dedicated outdoorsman and advocate of natural resources, to serve as WWF’s next Executive Director. Kamrowski is no stranger to the organization and its structure.
Starting in 2013, he took part in the organization’s first Conservation Leadership Corps youth leadership training program and has continued to be involved with the organization, serving as a volunteer board member. From 2018 to 2022, Kamrowski was elected as the youngest board member to the National Wildlife Federation, representing Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan on the national board of directors. The Wisconsin Wildlife Federation is an affiliate of the National Wildlife Federation. In 2022, he became the Federation’s first Director of Development and Field Operations and an employee for the past year.
“The mantle of executive director is a huge honor as the organization is expansive with its grassroots network, supporters, and impact in natural resource management. I cannot be more excited to partner with our affiliates, members and board of directors to lead the organization, Wisconsin conservation efforts and do right for sportsmen and women here in the great State of Wisconsin.”
Kamrowski was a 2016 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point College of Natural Resources with a bachelor of science degree in natural resource social and policy science and upon his graduation was employed throughout the State working in local government, planning and conservation.
The selection committee and the WWF board of directors are extremely excited to have Cody step into this new role as he brings a great energy, understanding of the organization as well as a deep passion for conservation. With our upcoming 75th anniversary, we are excited to begin this new chapter with Cody’s leadership states WWF President, Kevyn Quamme.
Cody will work from his home in Melrose, Wisconsin where he spends his free time in the fields, woods, and waters with his yellow lab, Nova. Kamrowski also embraces volunteerism as a Wisconsin DNR-certified hunter education safety instructor as well as a State Certified Level II volunteer firefighter. Kamrowski couldn’t be more excited to begin visiting with WWF affiliates, partners and conservation stakeholders throughout the state to see and hear first-hand their issues, concerns and successes.
