POYNETTE, Wis. — The Wisconsin Wildlife Federation is proud to announce a new Conservation Partnership with Sporting Lead Free (SLF), a collaborative effort focused on advancing science-based conservation practices and supporting the long-term health of wildlife, habitat, and outdoor traditions.
As Wisconsin’s largest conservation organization, WiWF represents a statewide network of hunters, anglers, trappers, conservation clubs, and outdoor advocates committed to protecting Wisconsin’s natural resources for future generations. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to voluntary education, collaboration, and practical conservation solutions that benefit both wildlife and the sporting community.
“Wisconsin Wildlife Federation is built on the idea that conservation works best when we bring people together around shared values and stewardship,” said Cody Kamrowski, Executive Director of WiWF. “Our partnership with Sporting Lead Free aligns with our mission to promote science-based conservation, healthy wildlife populations, and strong outdoor traditions through collaboration and education.”
Sporting Lead Free works with conservation organizations, hunters, anglers, shooting sports participants, and outdoor leaders to encourage awareness and informed decision-making regarding lead-free sporting ammunition and tackle options. Through this partnership, WiWF and SLF will work together to share educational resources, engage Wisconsin’s sporting community, and support ongoing conservation dialogue.
The partnership also aligns with WiWF’s strategic vision of broadening engagement across Wisconsin’s conservation community while continuing to uphold the organization’s longstanding commitment to responsible stewardship, public trust resources, and sustainable outdoor recreation.
